“he Sunken City of Ys”… Are you also a fan of Robert W Chambers’ works?
Actually, I’m completely unfamiliar with Chambers and I didn’t know he’d written about Ys (which I only discovered yesterday!) until I made this post. In my original draft for this post it was (yawn) Atlantis they were searching for. But then I decided that since the good professor was French it was worth it to see if there were any sunken cities in French legend. Wikipedia lead me to Ys, which I now must explore further, and that appears to mean reading Chambers. He’s on my list now 🙂
